Cutting with band saws – this is a technological machining process in which elements are separated by selecting a material with a tooth saw. Often band. The unnecessary material is removed with a movable metal belt with sharpened teeth.

Band saws are designed for cutting:

• rods,
• pipes,
• profiles etc.

Cutting elements can consist of different materials:

• steel,
• aluminum.
• plastics.

In our machine park we have band saws from Pegas-Gonda and Bomar.
The maximum possible cross sections for cutting on a Pegas band saw SHI 460 are: diameter D = 460 for shafts, H = 460 x W = 600 for rectangular profiles and profiles. The very high cutting tape profile height used ensures a completely vertical and even cut thanks to the high rigidity of the tape. The automatic parameter control in the Pegas Cutter guarantees a very high accuracy and repeatability of the process.

For BOMAR STG 240 band saws it it possible that a round bar of a maximum diameter D = 240 and rectangular profiles with a cross section of H = 130 x W = 320 can be cut.

For both Pegas and Bomar band saws in our factory, it is possible to cut profiles or pipes at an angle, which facilitates the preparation of elements in the manufacture of steel structures.
