Horizontal boring 01

Horizontal boring is a type of machining in which an object attached to a machine table called a flat-bed type boring mill can carry out a feed movement in the X-Y-Z axes and the tool is mounted in the spindle and carries out a rotary movement. The tool, which can be a boring bar or a milling head as required, can also perform a feed movement on the extending spindle.

In our machine park we have a TOS VARNSDORF flat-bed type boring mill with the possibility of driving in X = 1250 x Y = 1250 x Z = 1250 mm axes. This machine is equipped with a HEIDENHAIN digital scale system and a reading and control system for HEINDEHAIN scale rulers.

Horizontal boring is a type of machining in which an object attached to a machine table called a flat-bed type boring mill can carry out a feed movement in the X-Y-Z axes and the tool is mounted in the spindle and carries out a rotary movement. The tool, which can be a boring bar or a milling head as required, can also perform a feed movement on the extending spindle.

In our machine park we have a TOS VARNSDORF flat-bed type boring mill with the possibility of driving in X = 1250 x Y = 1250 x Z = 1250 mm axes. This machine is equipped with a HEIDENHAIN digital scale system and a reading and control system for HEINDEHAIN scale rulers.

Thanks to the possibility of using long boring bars, it is possible to coaxially machine holes and sleeves in planes that are up to 1250 mm apart.

We have the option of machining on a bench drill:

  • gear housing;
  • drilling boom heads;
  • kinematics lever joints for drive arms in concrete pumps.

And thanks to special equipment:

  • concrete pump boom arms;
  • planning and production of sleeves or holes in long and spatial construction elements that are used in mechanical engineering.

The positioning accuracy of the HEIDENHAIN scales in the X-Y-Z axes is 0.02 mm and thus enables very precise machining. The equipment of the machine tool enables the realization of a uniform production as well as the production of small rows of details.
